The epithelium (E-cadherin positive) shows a precursor of high-grade serous ovarian cancer, STIC. Immune cells in the vicinity show extra copies of the MYC oncogene. Method: ORION-FISH (Kader et al., Cancer Discovery 2026) — protein staining combined with morphology-preserved DNA-FISH for single-cell registration.
